Do you know how to get a high score on the ACT test? This exam is an abbreviation of American College Testing, and a criterion for university admissions. Any high school student who wants to be accepted to a university should take this test. It includes three sections, which are math, English, and science. Achieving a high score on this test requires hard working.

In the math section, students must do 20 questions in just 20 minutes, so they have one minute for each question. This section has hard math problems. To prepare for it, every student should practice various math problems. Working on these problems makes students’ brain ready to solve many math problems in a small period of time. Research shows that the human mind is like a muscle, so doing math problems every day will make students’ brain smarter. As a result, repeated practice before the test is a significant factor to increase the score.

The English section has three different types of questions, which are reading, grammar, and writing. First, the most difficult one which is reading. Reading includes passages and questions about them. Students should answer the question in just one minute, which is a short time. Therefore, students must read every day to prepare for the reading question. In addition, reading every day increases students’ speed of reading, which will help students to answer all questions correctly. Secondly, grammar questions are easier than reading. To achieve a high score in grammar, students should memorize grammar rules. Finally, writing has just one question, which is a prompt, asking the student to write an essay in 25 minutes. To do that, students must practice how to write an essay quickly. Also, providing the essay with many examples and research will increase the score. As a result, practice is the secret of achieving a high score in the English section.

The last section is science. This section has many charts, so it is important to learn how to read charts and graphs before the test. In addition, it includes chemistry and physics problems. To prepare for this section, students should read about charts, chemistry, and physics. Also, practicing how to solve these problems is significant. The most important factor to obtain a high score on this section is to be confident while answering the questions. Moreover, students must manage their time by dividing the number of questions with the number of minutes so they will not leave questions without answers.

To sum up, life is hard; people who want to achieve their goals and have a great living must work hard. Nothing is easy. However, by being optimistic and struggling, people will realize their dreams. Do not give up, set a dream for your future, and start to work on it now. Passing the ACT with a high score may be the first step for a wonderful future.
